The program aims to provide financial assistance to those who need it, making it easier for people to access oral health care.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s15\"><span class=\"s14\">Who will be eligible? When can you apply? Centre <\/span><span class=\"s14\">Dentaire<\/span><span class=\"s14\"> Dre\u00a0Nathalie\u00a0Kadoch answers your questions.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"s15\"><span class=\"s2\">Canadian Dental Care Plan, who is eligible?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"s15\"><span class=\"s14\">The program has already been <\/span><span class=\"s14\">providing assistance to<\/span><span class=\"s14\"> seniors in need since December\u00a02023. <\/span><span class=\"s14\">At the moment<\/span><span class=\"s14\">, people aged 70 and over can apply, and those aged 65 to 69 will be added in May.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s15\"><span class=\"s14\">Over time, coverage will be extended to all Canadian residents for whom access to dental care is more difficult, starting with adults receiving the disability tax credit, children aged 18, and then all other eligible residents. Those with an adjusted family net income of less than $90,000 and no dental insurance will be able to receive a refund.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"s15\"><span class=\"s2\">Canadian Dental Care Plan, how much will you receive?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"s15\"><span class=\"s14\">Reimbursement is determined as a percentage of expenses, which varies according to your salary range. If your annual income is less than $70,000, 100% of eligible costs will be covered. This figure is 60% for those earning between $70,000 and $79,999, and 40% for those earning between $80,000 and $89,999.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s15\"><span class=\"s14\">The new plan will cover a wide range of services, both preventive and curative. Scaling and X-rays are included, as are dentures and oral surgeries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s15\"><span class=\"s14\">This new plan will therefore provide welcome assistance to those <\/span><span class=\"s14\">on<\/span><span class=\"s14\"> a tighter budget.
